Coming Soon! Client Choice Food Center

What is a client-choice food center?

A client-choice food center is a type of food distribution method in which community members come in to pick out their own food. Think of it like a grocery store. Neighbors can come in, grab a cart, shop for the food they want, all free of charge. We believe that this is the best method of distribution because the nutritional needs of every household looks different.

A client-choice food center will enable us to increase the variety of food we offer, reduce food waste due to unused food, and provide regular, more frequent hours of operation. Neighbors will be able to schedule an appointment on our website to come pick out their food at a time that is convenient for them. We will offer fresh produce, dairy, eggs, meat, and shelf-stable food options.

Our goal is to have the renovations of the new food center completed by the beginning of summer 2024.

Want to get involved?

Donate to our campaign to build the food center, grow extra produce in your garden, or host a food drive to help us stock the shelves. Items such as canned fruits and veggies, juices, baking supplies, canned meats and fish, cereal, and pasta are greatly appreciated. Please make sure that the items are not expired. We encourage low sodium and sugar options!
